Bryn Gwynt, Anelog

Bryn Gwynt Caravan Park, Anelog was a commercial renewable energy project delivered by Gwresogi Ltd to help reduce operating costs, improve energy resilience and future-proof the site's electrical infrastructure. Following a detailed assessment of the site's energy consumption and future requirements, we designed and installed a bespoke Solar PV, Battery Storage and EV Charging solution tailored to the client's business.The Solar PV installation comprised a 28.32kWp system using 48 DAS Solar 590W photovoltaic panels, paired with a Sunsynk 25kW three-phase hybrid inverter. To maximise self-consumption of the electricity generated, the system was complemented by five Sunsynk high-voltage 5.12kWh battery modules, providing a total storage capacity of 25.6kWh. The battery system was designed with future expansion in mind, allowing additional battery modules to be added as the site's energy demands increase.Based on the client's energy usage and projected electricity costs, the installation is expected to achieve a payback period of approximately five years, after which the system will continue to generate significant savings while protecting the business from rising energy prices. The combination of Solar PV and battery storage provides greater control over energy consumption, reduces reliance on the grid and offers long-term cost certainty.As part of the project, Gwresogi Ltd also installed three 22kW three-phase EV charge points, enabling rapid charging for electric vehicles. This provides a valuable additional amenity for guests staying at the caravan park while supporting the continued growth of electric vehicle ownership. The EV charging facilities enhance the customer experience, add value to the site and help position Bryn Gwynt as a forward-thinking, environmentally conscious destination.The project demonstrates Gwresogi Ltd's ability to deliver complete commercial renewable energy solutions, combining detailed system design, high-quality installation and future-proof technology to provide long-term financial and environmental benefits for businesses.

Ty Ardd, Mynytho

Ty Ardd, Mynytho is a 300-year-old stone property where Gwresogi Ltd successfully designed and installed a complete renewable energy system comprising an Air Source Heat Pump, Solar PV and Battery Storage. The age and construction of the property presented a number of unique challenges, requiring careful planning, detailed heat loss calculations and a bespoke system design to ensure the installation would perform efficiently while complementing the existing building.The heating system was centred around a Grant Aerona R290 12kW Air Source Heat Pump, providing low-carbon heating and domestic hot water. Wherever practical, sections of the existing heating pipework were carefully retained and integrated into the new system, reducing unnecessary disruption while maintaining the highest installation standards.To further reduce energy costs and improve energy independence, we installed a 5.4kWp Solar PV system consisting of 12 JA Solar 450W all-black photovoltaic panels, coupled with a Fox ESS Hybrid Inverter and an 11.52kWh Fox ESS EP12 battery storage system. This allows excess solar generation to be stored and used when required, maximising self-consumption and reducing reliance on the grid throughout the year.Despite the property's age and complexity, the installation was completed with minimal disruption to the client through careful planning, clear communication and efficient project management. The finished system delivers modern, energy-efficient heating and renewable electricity generation while respecting the character of a property that has stood for more than three centuries.This project demonstrates Gwresogi Ltd's ability to deliver bespoke renewable energy solutions for even the most challenging properties. By combining technical expertise, thoughtful system design and a customer-focused approach, we successfully transformed a historic home into one that benefits from efficient, future-proof renewable technology without compromising its heritage.

Cae Morys

The Cae Morys development in Beddgelert was a social housing project delivered on behalf of Grŵp Cynefin, involving the installation of both 11 Solar PV systems and 11 Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP) systems to occupied properties. The project was completed over a three-week period, with all works carefully planned and coordinated to minimise disruption to residents while maintaining a safe and efficient working environment throughout.Gwresogi Ltd was responsible for delivering the renewable energy installations from survey through to final handover. This included carrying out detailed property surveys, producing fully MCS-compliant system designs, planning and scheduling the works, completing all installations, commissioning every system and providing the final certification and handover documentation.Solar PV InstallationThe Solar PV works included the installation of roof-mounted photovoltaic arrays, loft-mounted inverters, all associated AC and DC cabling, consumer unit replacements where required, additional loft lighting and smoke detection, together with all testing, commissioning and certification. Every installation was completed in accordance with current regulations and MCS standards to ensure long-term system performance and safety.Air Source Heat Pump InstallationThe Air Source Heat Pump installations comprised complete replacement heating systems throughout each property. Works included the installation of external ASHP units, new hot water cylinders, radiators, heating pipework, heating controls, electrical supplies and controls, condensate and drainage works, system flushing and water treatment, together with all associated plumbing, electrical and builders' works. Each system was fully tested, commissioned and handed over in full compliance with MCS requirements.Working within occupied social housing properties required close coordination with both Grŵp Cynefin and residents to ensure disruption was kept to an absolute minimum while maintaining the programme of works.

Goreslands

In phase one at Goreslands, we tackled outdated insulation and poor efficiency by replacing all windows, insulating and over-boarding the loft, and improving ventilation. A mineral wool external wall insulation system finished with Baumit render gave the property a fresh, modern look, with fixtures carefully refitted for a seamless finish. Phase two will see a full air source heat pump central heating system installed to complete the home’s energy transformation.

7 Coed y Glyn

At 7 Coed y Glyn, we fully removed the old central heating system and installed a brand-new air source heat pump for efficient, renewable heating. To maximise savings, we also fitted 10 solar panels with a Solplanet inverter and battery storage, giving the homeowners the ability to generate and store their own power alongside the heating system.

The project was recognised with an NHBC Quality Award, reflecting the care, precision, and attention to detail our team brought to the site.

Brynteg

At Brynteg, we installed 30 solar panels alongside a 10kW SigenStor battery, Sigenergy Gateway, and a 25kW DC EV charger. The Gateway intelligently manages solar generation, storage, home usage and EV charging to maximise self-consumption and reduce reliance on the grid. This allows the homeowner to use more free solar energy, cut electricity costs, and benefit from fast, low-cost EV charging with added backup power security.

Goreslands – Phase 2

Phase 2 at Goreslands involved the installation of a new central heating system with an air source heat pump, upgrading all radiators and fitting a new unvented hot water cylinder. Where possible, elements of the existing system were carefully salvaged and reused to minimise disruption and mess. An Open Energy Monitor was also installed, allowing us to closely track system performance and fine-tune settings to ensure the system runs as efficiently as possible.

Cadnant

A new central heating system was installed, with the old gas boiler fully disconnected and replaced by a 9kW Grant R290 air source heat pump. The upgrade included new radiators throughout and a new unvented cylinder, providing efficient heating and pressurised hot water. To further reduce energy costs, 9 solar panels were also installed, helping the client maximise renewable energy use.
